Probably the best deal in downtown area. Great value.
My stay was better than expected.excellent room service with clean, comfortable rooms.Would reccomend this to others.
Staff was very accomodating.
Very poor quality furniture in the rooms. Rooms were antiquated.
Simply a clean, classy hotel with good people working there.
Elevator slow. Fitness room a bit limited. No pool. Parking not included.
Staffs working in the hotel were all kind. The room with two bedrooms was huge. Free city transport service was really convenient. Cafe Martin was great.
Facilities in the room were old. But well cleaned.
I enjoyed my stay because I made reservations for a one bedroom and was upgraded to a 3 bedroom govenor suite for the price of the one bedroom. Was not expecting that, i was very pleased!
I visit Cincinnati for a few my students participating the World Piano Competition and consider this hotel as most convenient for this event because I can take the student/s with me, my digital piano and do not depend from the payed practice room in Hillton. The great location in the center of downtown near Aaronoff Halll; the suit style with the extra space and kitchen, affordable price.
The suite design. It's nice to have a separate space for sleeping and relaxing.
Most hotels have HDTV. I know that the TVs are newer but cable channels did not seem to be in HD.
Placed in downtown Cincinnati, excellent dinner restaurants within in easy walking distance. Across the street from main library, parking in city lot next to hotel $6.
We where there over the Christmas holidays, as a result there was a minimum of staff available, The staff was not happy to be there. Also it appeared that the staff who where on duty were not the most experienced (ie, low on the totem pole). They did not do a good job, they did an adequate job, just barely. Heating. the heat came from ducts in the bedrooms the thermostat was in the living room. If the bedroom doors are close the bedrooms get to hot and the living room cools off. With the combination of windows which actually open and extra blankets we where comfortable from the second night on. The restaurant in the hotel (the natural place to seek breakfast) should be skipped, this is not a problem as the kitchen in the suites enable one to prepare ones own breakfast These difficulties are not deal killers if you are prepared for them, I travel regularly to Cincy, and plan to make this my new resting place.
His was the nicest hotel I stayed at for the price great for families business very comfortsble
big room with a kitchen, great location for me, good price
It was within easy walking distance of the downtown area. It was nice to have a suite as we were in town to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We walked down to a nice restaurant and came back to the suite to have cake and celebrate her birthday.
It was very noisy both outside and inside the hotel all through the night. It was surprising considering we were on the 11th floor but there were people shouting and yelling outside. Then about 1 A.M. the phone rang. It was the front desk wanting to know if a "Paris Johnson" was there. You would have thought that once I'd said no they would have apologized with at least a hint of regret in their voice but no. It was just "Sorry." Click.
That I could get a two-bedroom suite for a reasonable price per night in Downtown Cincinnati; location and small-medium meeting spaces is the best service this hotel offers.
Paying for parking at the hotel was above the cost of the room. I realize it's downtown but that's crap. I pay one price to the hotel for all the things a hotel should provide. No swimming pool - have to walk to local YWCA to swim. Decor and furniture in the suites were outdated and yellowed, almost broken and non-functional. The furniture was adequate, and there was a broken lamp in a bedroom. They have updated the forier/lobby area of the hotel to look fresh but it's all a rouse when compared to the suite in which I stayed. The restaurant service was inconsistent - some good, some lame servers. The reservations online do not indicate nearly $30 of taxes and other b-s per night, so plan accordingly. The worst part about the stay was the air conditioner. We came during a particularly hot few days in July 2012 and had a 14th floor room. This hotel was not concerned with our comfort as these AC units were inadequate. After inquiring/complaining, maintenance said these units can't handle the heat and that we would just have to deal with it. Un-@#$%ing-acceptable. Also, the vent system had been re-rigged and had a terrible delivery of cold air throughout the suite, so it was apparent that the Garfield Suites would rather cut corners than update their provisions to remain current and competitive with other hotels.
The room at the 11th floor, the decoration, the possibility to cook, the gym, everything was clean, staff is very helpful and kind
